LA Skills USA Championships Planning & Prep Luncheon

Encourage skill development in high-school students by helping organize, develop or judge competitions in the 2019 Louisiana SkillsUSA competition, hosted by the Louis Miller Terrebonne Career & Technical High School and the Lafourche Career Magnet Center. ~ Expand partnership with the Terrebonne Economic Development Authority.  
~ Monitor the status of Houma Navigational Canal dredging and take action as needed.
~ Research the prospect of becoming our own DOTD District, educate our membership on this issue and take action when appropriate. 
~ Partner with Fletcher, TEDA, and Airport Commission to assist in expanding the drone industry at the Houma-Terrebonne Airport
~ Monitor the possible projects that LASAFE will spend $6M on and a take action as needed.
~ Look at possible funding alternatives for completing Bayou Country Sports Park including how we can improve the current tax base.
~ Have a Lunch & Learn with the parish assessor to explain how assessments work.
